What this policy covers

This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used when you visit the SocialCue websites and use the SocialCue app. It supplements our Privacy Policy. SocialCue is operated by SocialCue, LLC.

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. We use cookies only to make the service work, to keep you signed in, to remember how you arrived, and — on our marketing website — to protect the site from automated abuse. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking cookies.

1. Cookies we set

Sign-in session cookie. When you sign in, our authentication provider (Supabase) sets a session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is HTTP-only and refreshed while you remain active, expiring after a short period of inactivity.

sc_ref. If you arrive through a referral or invite link, we store the referral code so it survives sign-up. It is HTTP-only, lasts up to 30 days, and is deleted once you complete onboarding.

sc_acq. If you arrive through a campaign link, we store how you arrived (for example, campaign parameters). It is HTTP-only, lasts up to 30 days, and is deleted once you complete onboarding.

sc_native_signin_email. During passwordless sign-in in the app, we briefly store your email to complete the sign-in. It is HTTP-only, scoped to the sign-in step only, lasts about 10 minutes, and is cleared when sign-in finishes or you sign out.

All of the cookies above are first-party (set by SocialCue) and are strictly necessary to operate the service.

Our marketing website (socialcue.co and www.socialcue.co) is served through Cloudflare, a security and content-delivery provider. Cloudflare sets one cookie:

__cf_bm. Set by Cloudflare to distinguish humans from automated bots and protect the site. It is HTTP-only and Secure, and expires after approximately 30 minutes. This is a security cookie and is not an advertising or analytics cookie.

3. What we do not use

We do not use:

advertising or marketing cookies
third-party analytics cookies (we use no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, and no session-replay tools)
cross-site tracking cookies
a cookie-consent banner or consent-management tool

We currently do not use a cookie consent banner because the cookies described in this policy are limited to strictly necessary operational and security purposes.

4. Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies through your browser or device settings. If you block the sign-in session cookie you will not be able to stay signed in, and if you block strictly-necessary cookies parts of the service may not work.

We will post any changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
