Community Guidelines
Last updated: July 29, 2026
Why these guidelines exist
SocialCue is a location-based social discovery platform for adults, built women-first and around consent at every step. These Community Guidelines describe the conduct we expect from every member. They summarize and support the rules in our Terms of Service and are part of your agreement with us; where a detail differs, the Terms govern.
Members who make others feel unsafe, or who break these guidelines, can be removed.
1. Respect and consent
Consent matters at every step. A member who does not reveal, does not accept, does not share contact details, or does not respond has made a choice you must respect. Persistence after a declined or ignored approach is harassment. Treat everyone with respect, on their terms.
2. Harassment, threats, and violence
Do not:
- harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, defame, or abuse any person;
- post or promote violence, or threaten harm to anyone;
- contact anyone who has blocked you or declined to connect.
3. Hate and discriminatory abuse
Do not post hateful, harassing, or discriminatory content, or attack people based on who they are. SocialCue exists so adults can meet safely and respectfully.
4. Sexual exploitation and non-consensual content
Do not:
- post sexually explicit content;
- post photos that are not of you, or that depict another person without their consent;
- engage in prostitution, trafficking, or any illegal activity.
5. Impersonation and deception
Do not impersonate anyone, and do not misrepresent your age, gender, identity, or affiliation. One person, one account — you may not create an account on behalf of anyone else, sell or transfer your account, or maintain multiple accounts.
6. Spam, solicitation, and manipulation
Do not:
- solicit money, promote commercial services, advertise, or recruit;
- scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, or use bots or automated means;
- falsify your location or interfere with location detection;
- circumvent limits, gates, or security measures.
Never send money to another member.
7. Privacy — protect other people
Do not share another member’s information, photos, or contact details without their consent. Contact handles are disclosed only after two members connect and each separately chooses to share them — what someone shares with you is not yours to redistribute.
8. Venues, events, profiles, and channel comments
Venues and events shown in SocialCue are independent third parties; venues, events, and news are authored by SocialCue staff, not members. Where the app lets you contribute — your profile, your photos, and comments, replies, and poll votes on staff-authored channel posts — the same standards apply: keep it respectful, truthful, lawful, and free of the content prohibited above. There is no in-app chat or messaging on SocialCue.
9. Reporting and enforcement
You can report a profile, photo, or comment directly in the app, and you can block another member at any time. Reports are confidential — the person you report is not notified, and your identity as a reporter is not disclosed to them. We review reports at our discretion; submitting a report opens a review and does not by itself remove, block, disconnect, or disable anyone. Do not submit false or bad-faith reports. See Safety Guidelines for staying safe when you go out.
10. Consequences
We may remove any content, and we may restrict, suspend, or terminate your account or access to any feature, at any time, with or without notice, and at our sole discretion, including where we believe you have violated these guidelines or the Terms, created risk or legal exposure, or engaged in conduct harmful to other members. Deleting or terminating an account forfeits any credits and unused membership time, without refund.
